In March 2020, the “Ordinary World” (as Duran Duran sang) changed forever. I was volunteering in Nepal as airports worldwide were shutting down to manage the spread of Covid 19.
Trading the open road for a lounge-room office back in London, I proved that while the world was in lockdown, the mind didn’t have to be. This period became a global “unlearning” lab, and I helped clients manage shifts through a cycle of awareness, growth and reflection.
Coaching the Next Generation at Schools
For 2 years leading up to this global event, I had launched a Freedom Coaching Cocurricular Club at a London secondary school. Initially sceptical, the boys expected a sports club to literally “run free.” Instead, we practiced “sprints of the mind.”
We explored topics from unleashing the inner superhero to navigating life’s rollercoaster through gratitude, kindness and positive routines. Witnessing these young men move from doubt to declaring: “I’ve learned to create small steps for my big goals” was a profound reminder: teaching resilience early, can reduce a lifetime of regrets.
When classrooms emptied during lockdowns, I transitioned in-person lessons into short videos on gratitude and vision boards for students stuck at home.
Scaling Impact
This era marked a significant professional expansion. I was selected for the elite coaching team at Better Up (https://www.betterup.com), a global leader in digital coaching helping employees at all levels build mental fitness, resilience, and leadership skills to improve both wellbeing and workplace performance.
Through this partnership, I gained access to a vast spectrum of leaders and managers across diverse corporate industries and I engaged in ongoing evidence-based training that added rigor to my Gr8fool philosophy, including masterclasses in Conscious Business Coaching, Positive Psychology, the Neuroscience of Change, and the Future-Ready Coach.
Whether facilitating strategy or personal wellbeing, my goal remains the same: helping individuals create clarity and toolkits and become authentic leaders of their careers and private lives.
ICF PCC Milestone and Return to Corporate
My dedication was rewarded in April 2023, achieving my PCC (Professional Certified Coach) accreditation with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) – a milestone representing thousands of hours of mastery-level coaching delivery, studies and mentoring.
Later that year, I was invited to return to Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial consultancy. Re-entering the legal and compliance sector in 2024 with a totally fresh perspective. A Company Secretary acts as a “lynch-pin”— not only a technical expert, but a strategic position of influence at the heart of an organisation where I could apply my coaching mastery to my work, the leadership teams and the boardroom.
2025: The Sabbatical
Following two years of high-level corporate consultancy and consistent coaching, I stepped into a sabbatical in 2025. A time dedicated to personal and professional evolution, family, and travels.
The Gr8fool Legacy…
From a solo motorbike ride across the Alps to the high-stakes environment of international governance, I’ve learned that unbridled happiness come from connecting with inner freedom. My purpose is to continue supporting others to identify available choices, discover what truly matters, and go get it – free from any “standard boxes” society imposes.
Your path isn’t a straight line; it’s a courageous winding evolution. Whether a corporate leader seeking a shift or someone ready for a whole new direction, I can facilitate the strategy to your improved life experience.
